Through steady changes in the coffee market and especially within the speciality coffee segment, covering “sweetened” coffee beverages and milk based coffee drinks, the market itself changed dramatically into younger customer-groups and increased tremendously. In order to guarantee high quality of offered products it is more and more relevant to gain a general oversight on the coffee production and the multiple influences into the final result in the cup. Therefore precise knowledge in both practical and theoretical coffee-science is becoming more and more necessary.
We are offering a certified coffee-education programme that covers all aspects of modern coffee industry from bean to cup.
Content ranks from classical theoretical knowledge on coffee-beans (i.e. botanical background, production, production-areas, processing, trade, storage, roasting, preparation, cuptasting, different brewing methods, the coffee bar market, …), on practical subjects (i.e. working with different grinders and espresso machines, preparation of different coffee beverages, milk-foaming, LatteArt, cupping) up to modern aspects of nowadays coffee-world (recipes, coffee & spirits (alcohol based coffee-drinks), coffee as bar-beverage, frozen drinks, molecular coffee-drinks).
Classes are offered in German or English and exclusively led by recognised coffee-specialists (national or international successful baristi, coffee-entrepreneurs, Coffeeshop-trendsetters, etc.).
For participants from Austria and Switzerland special classes regarding local markets are offered (Switzerland: Crema Coffee, Austria: Vienna Coffee Culture). Classes can on demand be offered for bigger groups out of Mannheim. Please contact us for details.
The „coffeologist“-programme is designed for all groups from coffee industry ranking from roasters, manufacturers, traders, vending, or horeca-members (i.e. coffee shops, coffee bars, …) independent from position within the company from owner to employee, marketing officer to sales representative.
