 Tips for preparation

 To pass the exams for the certification level 1 and 2 the attendees need a comprehensive practicable and intellectual knowledge about coffee and its preparation.

Especially important aspects which will be cleared shortly in our 2-hour intensive preparatory course are:

Level 1:

At the theoretical part everything about botany, growing areas, cultivation, processing, trade, stocking, roasting, preparation and tasting is a possible question. The Barista should be proficient in all extraction methods.

 At the practical part the Barista has to adopt theoretical knowledge to coffee preparation. This includes setting up an espresso mill, the preparation of various coffee drinks and working with different types of machines, e.g. French Press or portafilter. Also the capability of correct foaming is expected.

 Level 2:

 The written and oral Level 2 exams contents the same elements like the level 1 certification but more detailed and sophisticated.

 The practical part contents every possible theme which is component of a baristas occupational image like professional cupping, coffee evaluation, LatteArt et cetera.

 
We recommend our preparation course before the examination because the refund of the application fee for the certification is not possible.

The participants have to pay the dues before the examination whether they pass or fail.
